Soon to purchase an L3830 HST with a quick attach loader (skid steer compatible) and industrial R4 tires. What would be a good price for this package? Is the HST a reliable transmission for commercial use? Also, the closest John Deere equivalent seems to be a 4610 with the ehydro tranny. Does anyone know what a good price for the same package would be from John Deere based on the 4610. The John Deere 460 loader seems to have a J.D. unique quick attach, is this true?

I can't say on the equivalency thing for sure but I'd think the 4510 would come closer? As far as the quick attach FEL, it's quick, real quick. 5 minutes on, 5 off and that includes hooking/unhooking the hydraulics. Kubota might be as quick/quicker, I don't know. The price I paid for my JD 4610 hydro with FEL was $23,300, which included some extra goodies.
I don't think you'd go wrong with either tractor. Good luck. ....

The J.D. 4510 is not offered in an ehydro tranny. There is a big gap from the 4410 ehydro to the 4610 ehydro in physical size and horse power. ....
